Leather Care Guide
Introduction
"A masterpiece that evolves with you."
Your Eternal Yan piece is crafted from premium Italian Vachetta leather. Unlike treated leathers, our vegetable-tanned hides are natural and alive. With time and touch, they develop a unique golden patina, creating a beautiful chronicle of the life you share with your companion.
1. Initial Exposure
Handle with Care Vegetable-tanned leather is sensitive to water and scratches in its early stages. Avoid direct contact with heavy rain or oils during the first few weeks of use. As the leather matures and develops its natural protective patina, it will become more resilient.
2. Daily Maintenance
Dust & Dry Wipe Use a soft, dry micro-fiber cloth to gently wipe away dust and light surface dirt. For small scratches, try rubbing them gently with your fingertip; the natural oils in your skin can often blend surface scuffs back into the leather.
3. Water & Cleaning
Stay Dry If the leather gets wet, blot it immediately with a clean, dry cloth and let it air dry naturally at room temperature. Never use a hairdryer or direct heat sources. Avoid chemical cleaners, as they can strip the natural tannins and damage the hand-carved portrait.
4. Long-term Conditioning
Nourish the Grain Every 4 to 6 months, you may apply a tiny amount of high-quality, colorless leather cream. This keeps the leather supple and prevents it from drying out. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first (like the back of the charm).
5. Storage
Breathable Protection When not in use, store your charm in the original gift box or a soft dust bag. Avoid storing in plastic bags or damp environments to ensure the leather continues to breathe.
